Restaurant Jakarta at Hotel Dharmawangsa
How was your Friday? I had a great one. I played tennis in the afternoon for the first time in four and a half years. I’m nowhere good at tennis to begin with, so when I play tennis after being away from a racket and court for that long, I am beyond horrible, but my friends were kind and patient enough to play with me. It was fun and made me realize how out of shape I was, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
To top off my day, my husband and I went out for dinner without our kids tonight. (It was actually more like I dragged him into it. Sometimes women need to be assertive, right?) We have not had a date night in a long time. Both of our families lived far away when we lived in Arlington, VA. Thus, if we wanted to go out by ourselves, we had to hire a sitter, which we simply could not afford. Having known that we would be able to go out by ourselves once we start our life in Indonesia, I figured it would be worth waiting. It truly was.
The restaurant was having a BBQ buffet for that night. Seeing the dessert selections for buffet menu, I was very tempted to go for it, but we ordered a la carte. I ordered a plate originally from the city called Padang. The Padang dishes are known for its spiciness. It was delicious! I relished every bite and minute of our time.
I hope you will have a wonderful weekend!!
