Wednesday Wall2Wall ☆ Japanese Decoration Mixed With Other Ethnic Decor

February 15, 2011

I had a chance to visit my Japanese friend who lives in Bangkok. She generously offered me and my girls to come over to her house when we made a trip to Bangkok and even picked us up at the hotel. This was possible since my husband was working during the day. I love the touch of Japanese decor she displayed in different corners of her home with the items she and her husband collected from other parts of the world where they lived over the years. I love the step chest and the tatami mats she and her husband bought when they lived in Japan. Maybe when our kids are older, we will try to have something similar in our house, too.

I love the way she mixed it up! Always admire people who can mix up styles!

Your friend’s house is beautifully decorated and well thought of.

I would love to have tatami in my office. And the dining table with the decor underneath it is just darling!

    Lovely pictures as usual!
